I can't seem to get my children to eat anything green that's healthy for them, so I decided to incorporate some super healthy veggies into my morning juicing routine and the kids LOVE it. They have no idea what's in there. They just ask for some more of that "yummy juice".
Ingredients
- 3 Fuji apples
- 3 oranges
- 3 carrots
- 1/2 head broccoli
- 4+ cups spinach leaves
- ice cubes
Method
- Juice your fruits and vegetables in the juicer.
- Shake or stir with ice.
- Strain into glasses and serve.

Okay, this looks sort of odd and inedible maybe, but don't let the color scare you away. I even added in powdered supplements like spirulina and chlorella. This tastes as good, if not better than some of those fresh smoothies you find in the produce section at the store. Really really good!

I know it! My boys eat green beans (canned), carrots and corn, and that's about it in the vegetable department -- until I tried some interesting stuff in the juicer. I've even had them really enjoy rhubarb, beets (in moderation), kale, ginger and cucumber. Using a combo of an apple and orange juice base seems to squelch any 'bad vegetable' flavors that may come through too much for the kids. Adults love it too!
